Seniors for Seniors Program
The Riley County Humane Society matches mature cats with mature adopters through our Seniors for Seniors Program.
Mature cats have the wisdom and grace only age and experience can bring. They need homes with special people who can see beyond the kittens to the mature cats who look back at them with knowing eyes.
Senior pets provide affection, entertainment, and companionship. Studies have shown that pets can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and may even help with depression. Cats do well in small environments so even a small apartment may provide enough space for you and your cat.
About the Program
Adopters must be 55+ years of age
Cats are adopted into ‘Indoor Only’ homes
Cats are delivered to you on adoption day
$40 Reduced Cat Adoption Fee due on adoption day
All adoption fees are used to continue the work of the Riley County Humane Society.
